Minnetonka-Hopkins Gymnastics Association (Mini-Hops or MHGA) programs have been carefully designed to aid in your child’s physical, mental and social development. Our objective is to provide children with safe, positive and fun learning experiences! We aim to build strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination and self-confidence while having fun with the sport of gymnastics.
Mini-Hoppers (18 months – 5 years)
The goal of the Mini-Hoppers Gymnastics Program at Mini-Hops is to provide your child with a positive, nurturing, safe and energetic learning experience. With programs specifically designed for preschool age children, we sincerely believe that gymnastics can help a child excel in many aspects of life by building strength, mental discipline, self-esteem/confidence, and social skills.
Recreational Classes (6 years – 18 years)
Our recreational class program follows a carefully designed curriculum of skill progression while helping develop self confident, physically fit, productive young people with high self-esteem, the courage to challenge themselves, and the ability to celebrate accomplishments from a strong sense of self and team. We believe that by reinforcing these principles, the instructors and staff at Mini-Hops contribute significantly to the development of great athletes and happy, healthy young people during the formative years of growth. We offer progressive classes for both boys and girls.
High School Off-Season Program
We ofter an unparalleled off-season training program and facility for high school level athletes. With a program built to accomodate any skill level, our coaches and gym will work with the athlete to develop a workout and training regimen that will propel them to personal and competitive success inside the gym and out.
Special Olympics
Mini-Hops is proud to be the home of the largest Special Olympics gymnastics team in the state of Minnesota, coached by community volunteers at no cost to the families. More than half of our volunteers are young people and students. All of our volunteers in this program have or are pursuing training and certification directly from the Minnesota Special Olympics. We dedicate the gym for two hours every Saturday solely to this program to minimize distractions and provide a safe environment for our special athletes to practice.
