Welcome to the Mini-Hops Girls Pre-Team Program


Girls Pre-Team Progression:

Teenie Mights: (Our youngest group of Pre-Team athletes ranging from 4-5 years old ) Gymnasts in this group work on mastering the fundamentals of gymnastics with body positions, handstands, cartwheels, and bridge kickovers, as well as gross and fine motor skills through fun gymnastics activities. Gymnasts in the Teenies group attend one 55 minute class/week but are encouraged to attend twice a week.

Tiny Mights: ( Our 2nd youngest group of Pre-Team athletes, ranging from 4-6 years old) Gymnasts perfect the most basic skills and body positions, as well as learn the round-off and back handsprings on Floor, and cartwheels and handstands on low beams. In addition, they work on flexibility and physical conditioning. Gymnasts must come twice a week for 1 hr and 30 min but most come three times per week to maximize their potential.

Mini Mights: Mini-Mights use a more intense strength and skill curriculum where self-motivation and drive are required to increase skills and develop strength and flexibility. This group of gymnasts is developing the core skills on all of the events including cartwheels, handstands, and jumps/turns on beam; back/front walkovers and round off-back handsprings on floor; flysprings on vault; and kipping, casting and swinging on bars. Mini’s work out a minimum of two times per week for two hours at a time though many of the Mini’s come three times per week.

Mighty Mights: The Mighty-Mights curriculum requires the athlete to perform a higher degree of skills and begin putting more skills together for connections on the team sized equipment. Mighty-Mights work on advanced tumbling skills up to and including back flips. On bars they are working on kips and front hip circles. On beam they take their skills are taken up to the high beam. On vault the girls begin handsprings. Gymnasts must come three times a week for 3 hours but some come four times per week to maximize their potential. These athletes are evaluated twice a year for team readiness.

  • Make-ups can be scheduled through the front desk, but are not guaranteed.
  • Teenies are charged monthly on the credit charge that is on file at the front desk.
  • Tinies and Minis are billed monthly and must be paid through ACH.
