As another great mental, physical and artistic outlet, Rhythmic Gymnastics is now being offered at Mini-Hops Gymnastics! Rhythmic Gymnastics combines elements of ballet, gymnastics and dance. This unique sport can be practiced as an individual or as a team. Gymnasts master the use of various appratus: rope, clubs, hoop, ball and ribbon. If your child likes gymnastics AND dance, this is the program for them. Please see class descriptions below.

Beginner Rhythmic
(ages 4-5) 60 min 1-2x/wk
This class curriculum is fun but challenging and provides an introduction to the sport through fun technical movement activities with all rhythmic apparatus (ball, clubs, hoop, ribbon and rope). The lessons include learning technically correct basics in swings, waves, circles, throws, catches, tumbling, low impact stretching, balancing, jumping, leaping and dance. The development of hand/eye coordination is a major component of this class.
Intermediate Rhythmic
(ages 6-7) 60 min 1-2x/wk
The FUN is in the mastery! This introductory class allows student to progress and master the core skills of rhytmic gymnastics. Children learn waves, circles, throws and catches of the different apparatus along with continued development of ballet, flexibility, strenth, conditioning and dance skills. The development of hand/eye coordination is a major component of this class.
As Rhythmic gymnasts progress as athletes and artists, they will move up to our Advanced Rhythmic and EuRhythmic classes.
Rookies Imagidance
(ages 5 1/2-8) 120 min
Dancers will explore fun, creative movement with music – both challenging and fun! This is an introduction and continuation of the sport of rhythmic gymnastics with the use of rhythmic apparatus (ball, clubs, hoop, ribbon and rope). The developement of rhythm and hand/eye coordination are two big components of this class.
